Plumbing is bought on trust because the customer usually cannot verify the diagnosis. In older Tampa housing that gap gets exploited more than most places.
The cast iron problem
The clearest example in this city is cast iron drain replacement. A camera run through an old line will show corrosion somewhere — it almost always does. Turning that into a whole-house replacement quote is easy, common, and frequently wrong, because condition varies enormously along a single run.

We put storm preparation on the service list, and then we spend most of that page explaining how little of hurricane readiness is actually plumbing. The useful version is short: does your main shutoff close, is your outdoor pipework secure, and do you know the sequence. That is an honest hour, not a package.
Claims we won't make
That one bad section means the whole system needs replacing. That we can price a slab leak before locating it. That a hurricane package protects your plumbing comprehensively. That we can find a leak in your pool shell. That age alone is a reason to replace a working water heater.

Pool chemistry and shell leak detection, roofing and structural work, flood remediation, electrical beyond our own connections, tile and drywall finishing, and insurance adjusting.
Do you guarantee your work?
We stand behind our workmanship and return if something we did isn't right. Parts carry manufacturer warranties whose terms we quote accurately rather than round up.
How do I know a recommendation isn't an upsell?
Ask to see the footage — of the good sections as well as the bad. Cast iron replacement is the most oversold service in older Tampa neighbourhoods, and showing you both is the only real answer to that.
Why is storm prep on your service list?
Because a small, specific plumbing checklist genuinely helps before a storm, and because most of what gets sold as hurricane plumbing preparation overstates what plumbing contributes. We'd rather define the narrow useful version.
